Minimum Requirements to Apply for a
Security Guard Position

At Special Security Services Group Inc., we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our security team. To be considered for a position, applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Education: A high school diploma is required (Law & Security background is an advantage).
  • Legal Status: Must be a Canadian Citizen or Landed Immigrant.
  • Physical Fitness: Must be in good physical health to perform security duties effectively.
  • Availability: Must be able to work afternoons, midnights, weekends, and statutory holidays (some shifts may be 12 hours).
  • Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Customer Service Skills: Required for concierge and condominium security roles.
  • Experience: Previous experience in security is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Background Check: Must have no criminal record.
  • Teamwork & Professionalism: Ability to work collaboratively and meet client expectations.
  • Driver’s License: A Class G Driver’s License is considered an asset.
